This page calculates the Panchang for Meerut, Uttar Pradesh from the city's own coordinates and local sunrise, so the Tithi, Vara and timings reflect Meerut rather than a single national table.
Why Panchang for Meerut is a local calculation
Meerut sits in Uttar Pradesh at about 28.9800° N, 77.7064° E. Because the Panchang day opens at sunrise, Meerut's own sunrise sets its Vara and decides which Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana are in force through the day.
That is why a reading for Meerut can differ from another city on the same date. Astrovarg works this page out from Meerut's coordinates on the Asia/Kolkata timezone — a local result, not a generic one. For how the five limbs are read, see the complete Panchang guide.
Why does Panchang for Meerut differ from other cities?
It is anchored to Meerut's local sunrise. Sunrise reaches Meerut at its own clock time, so a Tithi or Nakshatra can move onto a different day than in a city further east or west.
Is this Panchang based on local sunrise in Meerut?
Yes. The page uses Meerut's coordinates (28.9800° N, 77.7064° E) and the Asia/Kolkata timezone, and the reading is anchored to the city's own sunrise.
Can I check another date for Meerut?
Yes. Change the date in the calculator above and Astrovarg recomputes the Panchang for Meerut on that day.
