This page calculates the Panchang for Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh from the city's own coordinates and local sunrise, so the Tithi, Vara and timings reflect Prayagraj rather than a single national table. Prayagraj is also widely searched as Allahabad.
Why Panchang for Prayagraj is a local calculation
Prayagraj sits in Uttar Pradesh at about 25.4448° N, 81.8432° E. Because the Panchang day opens at sunrise, Prayagraj's own sunrise sets its Vara and decides which Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana are in force through the day.
That is why a reading for Prayagraj can differ from another city on the same date. Astrovarg works this page out from Prayagraj's coordinates on the Asia/Kolkata timezone — a local result, not a generic one. For how the five limbs are read, see the complete Panchang guide.
Why does Panchang for Prayagraj differ from other cities?
It is anchored to Prayagraj's local sunrise. Sunrise reaches Prayagraj at its own clock time, so a Tithi or Nakshatra can move onto a different day than in a city further east or west.
Is this Panchang based on local sunrise in Prayagraj?
Yes. The page uses Prayagraj's coordinates (25.4448° N, 81.8432° E) and the Asia/Kolkata timezone, and the reading is anchored to the city's own sunrise.
Can I check another date for Prayagraj?
Yes. Change the date in the calculator above and Astrovarg recomputes the Panchang for Prayagraj on that day.
