This page calculates the Panchangam for Kozhikode, Kerala from the city's own coordinates and local sunrise, so the Tithi, Vara and timings reflect Kozhikode rather than a single national table. Kozhikode is also widely searched as Calicut. In Kerala and many South Indian contexts, users may search Panchang as Panchangam.
Why Panchangam for Kozhikode is a local calculation
Kozhikode sits in Kerala at about 11.2480° N, 75.7804° E. Because the Panchangam day opens at sunrise, Kozhikode's own sunrise sets its Vara and decides which Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana are in force through the day.
That is why a reading for Kozhikode can differ from another city on the same date. Astrovarg works this page out from Kozhikode's coordinates on the Asia/Kolkata timezone — a local result, not a generic one. For how the five limbs are read, see the complete Panchang guide.
Why does Panchangam for Kozhikode differ from other cities?
It is anchored to Kozhikode's local sunrise. Sunrise reaches Kozhikode at its own clock time, so a Tithi or Nakshatra can move onto a different day than in a city further east or west.
Is this Panchangam based on local sunrise in Kozhikode?
Yes. The page uses Kozhikode's coordinates (11.2480° N, 75.7804° E) and the Asia/Kolkata timezone, and the reading is anchored to the city's own sunrise.
Can I check another date for Kozhikode?
Yes. Change the date in the calculator above and Astrovarg recomputes the Panchangam for Kozhikode on that day.
