This page calculates the Panchangam for Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala from the city's own coordinates and local sunrise, so the Tithi, Vara and timings reflect Thiruvananthapuram rather than a single national table. Thiruvananthapuram is also widely searched as Trivandrum. In Kerala and many South Indian contexts, users may search Panchang as Panchangam.
Why Panchangam for Thiruvananthapuram is a local calculation
Thiruvananthapuram sits in Kerala at about 8.4855° N, 76.9492° E. Because the Panchangam day opens at sunrise, Thiruvananthapuram's own sunrise sets its Vara and decides which Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana are in force through the day.
That is why a reading for Thiruvananthapuram can differ from another city on the same date. Astrovarg works this page out from Thiruvananthapuram's coordinates on the Asia/Kolkata timezone — a local result, not a generic one. For how the five limbs are read, see the complete Panchang guide.
Why does Panchangam for Thiruvananthapuram differ from other cities?
It is anchored to Thiruvananthapuram's local sunrise. Sunrise reaches Thiruvananthapuram at its own clock time, so a Tithi or Nakshatra can move onto a different day than in a city further east or west.
Is this Panchangam based on local sunrise in Thiruvananthapuram?
Yes. The page uses Thiruvananthapuram's coordinates (8.4855° N, 76.9492° E) and the Asia/Kolkata timezone, and the reading is anchored to the city's own sunrise.
Can I check another date for Thiruvananthapuram?
Yes. Change the date in the calculator above and Astrovarg recomputes the Panchangam for Thiruvananthapuram on that day.
