Divisional Charts (Vargas)
A varga is a divisional chart: each sign is divided and the placements re-projected, giving a second chart that speaks to one area of life. Astrovarg computes 19 supported Varga charts from D2 to D60 — including Navamsa (D9), Dasamsa (D10), Trimshamsa (D30) and Shashtiamsa (D60) — from your birth details. D1, the Rashi chart, is the Birth Chart itself.
What are divisional charts?
In Parashari astrology a divisional chart — a varga — is built by dividing each sign of the birth chart into equal parts and re-projecting every placement into a new chart. The Rashi chart (D1) shows the whole life; each varga chart magnifies one area of it.
Navamsa (D9) divides each sign into nine and is the most widely consulted varga chart. Dasamsa (D10) divides each sign into ten. Trimshamsa (D30) is the exception that proves the rule: its name comes from a degree-sized unit, and it divides each sign into five unequal blocks, not thirty — which is why Astrovarg reads the division count from the engine and never derives it from the D-number.
Every chart below is computed by Astrovarg's own engine from your birth date, time and place. Nothing is derived in the browser.
